Originally from Colorado Springs, Colorado, Douglas Colt went to an out of state college just like many others. In his case, it was Washington University in Saint Louis, MO. There, he took an active role in the student government and even founded the Campus Programming Council in 1995, which now hold the distinct honor of being the highest funded student group in Washington University. Douglas Colt graduated from Washington University with honors and degrees in both Political Science and Economics.

After that, he attended Georgetown University, in Washington, DC, where he became a member of an A Cappella singing group called “Moral Hazard,” before graduating cum laude in 2000. From there, Douglas Colt moved to California, gaining experience as a lawyer at different firms until eventually finding himself in Redwood Shores, CA with Quinn Emanuel LLP, where he’s now a Senior Litigation Associate. And although Douglas Colt might not get as much skiing in as he’d like to in Redwood Shores, he still enjoys the great outdoors on his mountain bike.
