Nothing beats the business of the schedules owned by company owners, especially if the company is one hundred percent owner-operated. Well, Curt Kramer is one of these people, and true enough, his schedule completely defines the word hectic. For something this busy, a person would need a source of inspiration. Curt Kramer has his.

No matter how busy or how hectic Curt Kramer schedule is, he always finds time to spare for his charity work. He created the Kramer’s Kidz Club for the children admitted at Schneider Children’s Hospital. It is through this organization for kids that he is able to implement activities and events that he planned to make the children’s stay in the hospital more pleasurable.

What Mr Kramer does is that he sponsors expensive field trips using his very own money. He does not ask for anything in return, but only to see the children smile because of pure and genuine happiness.

What separates Curt Kramer from others who do charity work is that he does not ask to be recognized. Others who claim to be philanthropists would even ask to be videoed while they do their charity work. Mr Kramer is unlike them, for he even sends in his monetary donations anonymously. The fame of charity is not something he wants. He is only intent on helping the children, and not on becoming famous because of his good intentions.

Curt Kramer, Mazuma Holding Corporation’s current owner has the sole power to make things happen within the company. This is mainly because of the fact that Mazuma Holding Corp., which is another thing his company is known for, is one hundred percent owner-operated. Even though he is the one who decides what to do and what not to do, he still listens to what his personnel has to say, no matter which part of the organizational chart he or she belongs to.

The democracy Curt Kramer established within his company helped in generating more positive results. In fact, it not only increased the corporation’s success rates, but it also helped in establishing much more rapport in the workers’ relationships with one another.

This proves that Curt Kramer prioritizes people instead of things. This is further proven by his acts of charity. Curt Kramer is one of the biggest contributors to North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System. He is chosen to be on the Board of Visitors and has received honorary recognition for his philanthropy.

He founded the Kramer’s Kidz Club which is an organization that houses people who want to help sick children. Mr Kramer wants the ill kids to have fun. He wants to see them smile, which is why he sponsors expensive trips to places they have probably never been to before. They have gone to Broadway shows and live sports games, such as the Mets games.

Being a grandson of someone who works for international companies surely has its many advantages. For Jason Fieldhouse, these gave him plenty of chances to see the world from different angles.

Jason Fieldhouse grandfather used to work for various international companies as a project manager. Since his job required him to visit various sites of operations around the world, there were many occasions that Jason Fieldhouse was dragged along by his granddad to countries where he got stationed.

At a very young age, Jason Fieldhouse already saw the great pyramids of Egypt, the Taj Mahal in India, the safari in Kenya and the cities of Thailand and Peru. He also had experienced living in the vibrant city of Colombo, Sri Lanka for one year. It was his grandfather’s intention to make him experience the cultures and traditions of people from various places as well as to help him broaden his horizon. It appears that his grandfather’s intentions bear fruit because even now, he still enjoys hitting the road. His earlier traveling experiences developed in him a strong inclination towards traveling and meeting new people.

Jason Fieldhouse recently moved in the Midwest where he was able to visit a couple of cities like Iowa, Chicago, Minneapolis, and St. Paul.

Shatan D. Green is doing the same thing for the students of H.I.G.H.E.R. Tutorial Services, Inc. that he did for himself when he decided to pursue higher education: open up a world of opportunities that aren’t always available for underrepresented minorities.

It is easy to identify the obstacles preventing the avenues to education for someone who belongs to Shatan D. Green ethnic group. The weight of an entire history of injustice and social inequality toward the impoverished, despite affirmative action and other such measures, are, after all, is still bearing minorities down.

Shatan D. Green could have gone into more lucrative professions. He chose education, realizing that educated people like himself need to contribute something to reduce, if not eradicate, the notion among minorities that rapping, playing sports and committing felonies are the only options available to them.

Shatan D. Green is inspired by the strong sense of pride generated by the successes that students at H.I.G.H.E.R. are achieving. He likes that he has a hand in every student’s success. He is inspired by the knowledge that he is helping to demolish the age-old racial stereotypes that have limited people from his community to the aforementioned professions.

Shatan Green entered the educational profession for various reasons, not least of which, was the fact that there are only about 16.4% native-born African-Americans who have earned a Bachelor’s degree or higher, compared to 29.7% native-born European-Americans and 48.3% native-born Asian-Americans, according to the 2003 U.S. Census Bureau Report on Educational Attainment in the United States. (Source: http://www.census.gov/prod/2004pubs/p20-550.pdf)

Sociological, historical, and cultural factors are certainly part of the reason for such a dismal record. For instance, the racial labeling of African-Americans as limited in their abilities to becoming athletes, rappers or committing crimes has influenced the professional aspirations of minorities, reinforcing such label, turning into “psychological labeling”, becoming some sort of a “self-fulfilling prophecy” — bewails Shatan Green. Thus, it is important for all minorities to realize that they are only limited by their expectations, he states.

Understanding that academic excellence does not make a person a nerd is the first step toward changing such disheartening record, according to Shatan Green. They need role models and one great role model that he cites is President Barack Obama, the first African-American President.

Shatan Green implements programs that help students fulfill their academic aspirations, in his capacity as the President and CEO of H.I.G.H.E.R. Tutorial Services, Inc.

Tudor Cisu’s natural aptitude for Mathematics won him recognition while he was in high school a Fayetteville-Manlius High in New York State. Now that he’s 19 and a premed sophomore at Binghamton University, Tudor Cisu majors in Mathematics as well as Biochemistry.

The seemingly odd combination of academic pursuits makes sense though when you consider that Tudor Cisu dreams of becoming a physician scientist. Cisu believes he can make a more significant contribution to medicine by focusing on scientific research instead of practicing medicine. For that, mathematics will indeed play an integral part in his research.

Perhaps mathematics is also at the root of Tudor Cisu’s fascination with the Rubik’s cube. Although his best time of 30 seconds may not quite make it to the world record books, Tudor Cisu has experience with other Rubik variants, including the 4×4x4, the 5×5x5, and the Rubik’s sphere.
